Love

(Luke 6.27,28,32-36)

^43 (A) You have heard people say, “Love your neighbors and hate your enemies.”

^19 (A) Respect your father and mother. And love others as much as you love yourself.”

^39 (A) The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, “Love others as much as you love yourself.”

^31 (A) The second most important commandment says: ‘Love others as much as you love yourself.’ No other commandment is more important than these.”

^27 (A) The man replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.’ They also say, ‘Love your neighbors as much as you love yourself.’ ”

^9 (A) In the Law there are many commands, such as, “Be faithful in marriage. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not want what belongs to others.” But all of these are summed up in the command that says, “Love others as much as you love yourself.”

^14 (A) All the Law says can be summed up in the command to love others as much as you love yourself.

^8 (A) You will do all right, if you obey the most important law^[a] in the Scriptures. It is the law that commands us to love others as much as we love ourselves.
