25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.

28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and (A)took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And the (B)report of this went out into all that land.

Two Blind Men Healed

27 When Jesus departed from there, (C)two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, (D)“Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, (E)“See that no one knows it.” 31 (F)But when they had departed, they [a]spread the news about Him in all that [b]country.

A Mute Man Speaks

32 (G)As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”

34 But the Pharisees said, (H)“He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”

The Compassion of Jesus(I)

35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, (J)teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease [c]among the people. 36 (K)But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were [d]weary and scattered, (L)like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, (M)“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 (N)Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

The Twelve Apostles(O)

10 And (P)when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, (Q)who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and [e]Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; (R)Simon the [f]Cananite, and Judas (S)Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

Sending Out the Twelve(T)

These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: (U)“Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of (V)the Samaritans. (W)But go rather to the (X)lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Y)And as you go, preach, saying, (Z)‘The kingdom of heaven [g]is at hand.’ Heal the sick, [h]cleanse the lepers, [i]raise the dead, cast out demons. (AA)Freely you have received, freely give. (AB)Provide neither gold nor silver nor (AC)copper in your money belts, 10 nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; (AD)for a worker is worthy of his food.

11 (AE)“Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. 12 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 (AF)If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. (AG)But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 (AH)And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, (AI)shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, (AJ)it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
