8 But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, who had given such authority unto men.
9 And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10 And it came to pass, as he [a]sat at meat in the house, behold, many [b]publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

Matthew 9:8-10
New International Version
8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,(A) who had given such authority to man.
The Calling of Matthew(B)
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(C) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
