¹⁶And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

¹⁶Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”^(A)

²⁹And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

²⁹“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”^(A)

²⁷She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

²⁷“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah,^(A) the Son of God,^(B) who is to come into the world.”^(C)
