²⁷Then he took a cup,^(A) and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.

¹⁷After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you.

²⁰Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

²⁰In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant^(A) in my blood, which is poured out for you.^[a]
