Numbers 9:7-9
New English Translation
7 And those men said to Moses,[a] “We are ceremonially defiled by the dead body of a man; why are we kept back from offering the Lord’s offering at its appointed time among the Israelites?” 8 So Moses said to them, “Remain[b] here and I will hear[c] what the Lord will command concerning you.”
9 The Lord spoke to Moses:

7 and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?(A)”
8 Moses answered them, “Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.”(B)
