¹² Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because ^(A)you did not believe Me, to ^(B)hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

¹⁴ For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you ^(A)rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the ^(B)waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)

²⁶ “But the Lord ^(A)was angry with me on your account, and would not listen to me. So the Lord said to me: ‘Enough of that! Speak no more to Me of this matter.

²¹ Furthermore ^(A)the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that ^(B)I would not cross over the Jordan, and that I would not enter the good land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

⁴ Then the Lord said to him, ^(A)“This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ ^(B)I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.”
