¹¹ “Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the Israelites because he was zealous among them with My zeal,^[a](A) so that I did not destroy the Israelites in My zeal. ¹² Therefore declare: I grant him My covenant of peace.^{(B) 13} It will be a covenant of perpetual priesthood for him and his future descendants,^(C) because he was zealous for his God and made atonement for the Israelites.”

³ If a man still prophesies, his father and his mother who bore him will say to him: You cannot remain alive because you have spoken falsely in the name of Yahweh. When he prophesies, his father and his mother who bore him will pierce him through.^(A)
