28 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²`Command the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, My offering, My bread for My fire-offerings, My sweet fragrance, ye take heed to bring near to Me in its appointed season.

³`And thou hast said to them, This [is] the fire-offering which ye bring near to Jehovah: two lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones, daily, a continual burnt-offering;

⁴the one lamb thou preparest in the morning, and the second lamb thou preparest between the evenings;

⁵and a tenth of the ephah of flour for a present, mixed with beaten oil, a fourth of the hin;

⁶a continual burnt-offering, which was made in mount Sinai, for sweet fragrance, a fire-offering to Jehovah;

⁷and its libation, a fourth of the hin for the one lamb; in the sanctuary cause thou a libation of strong drink to be poured out to Jehovah.

⁸`And the second lamb thou dost prepare between the evenings; as the present of the morning, and as its libation thou preparest -- a fire-offering, a sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

⁹`And on the sabbath-day, two lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones, and two-tenth deals of flour, a present, mixed with oil, and its libation;

¹⁰the burnt-offering of the sabbath in its sabbath, besides the continual burnt-offering and its libation.

¹¹`And in the beginnings of your months ye bring near a burnt-offering to Jehovah: two bullocks, sons of the herd, and one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

¹²and three-tenth deals of flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one bullock, and two-tenth deals of flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one ram;

¹³and a several tenth deal of flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one lamb; a burnt-offering, a sweet fragrance, a fire-offering to Jehovah;

¹⁴and their libations are a half of the hin to a bullock, and a third of the hin to a ram, and a fourth of the hin to a lamb, of wine; this [is] the burnt-offering of every month for the months of the year;

¹⁵and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering to Jehovah; besides the continual burnt-offering it is prepared, and its libation.

¹⁶`And in the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, [is] the passover to Jehovah;

¹⁷and in the fifteenth day of this month [is] a festival, seven days unleavened food is eaten;

¹⁸in the first day [is] an holy convocation, ye do no servile work,

¹⁹and ye have brought near a fire-offering, a burnt-offering to Jehovah: two bullocks, sons of the herd, and one ram, and seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones they are for you;

²⁰and their present, flour mixed with oil, three-tenth deals for a bullock, and two-tenth deals for a ram ye do prepare;

²¹a several tenth deal thou preparest for the one lamb, for the seven lambs,

²²and one goat, a sin-offering, to make atonement for you.

²³`Apart from the burnt-offering of the morning, which [is] for the continual burnt-offering, ye prepare these;

²⁴according to these ye prepare daily, seven days, bread of a fire-offering, a sweet fragrance, to Jehovah; besides the continual burnt-offering it is prepared, and its libation;

²⁵and on the seventh day a holy convocation ye have, ye do no servile work.

²⁶`And in the day of the first-fruits, in your bringing near a new present to Jehovah, in your weeks, a holy convocation ye have; ye do no servile work;

²⁷and ye have brought near a burnt-offering for sweet fragrance to Jehovah: two bullocks, sons of the herd, one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year,

²⁸and their present, flour mixed with oil, three-tenth deals to the one bullock, two-tenth deals to the one ram,

²⁹a several tenth deal to the one lamb, for the seven lambs;

³⁰one kid of the goats to make atonement for you;

³¹apart from the continual burnt-offering and its present ye prepare [them] (perfect ones they are for you) and their libations.

29 `And in the seventh month, in the first of the month, a holy convocation ye have, ye do no servile work; a day of shouting it is to you;

²and ye have prepared a burnt-offering, for sweet fragrance to Jehovah: one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

³and their present, flour mixed with oil, three-tenth deals for the bullock, two-tenth deals for the ram,

⁴and one-tenth deal for the one lamb, for the seven lambs;

⁵and one kid of the goats, a sin-offering, to make atonement for you;

⁶apart from the burnt-offering of the month, and its present, and the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and their libations, according to their ordinance, for sweet fragrance, a fire-offering to Jehovah.

⁷`And on the tenth of this seventh month a holy convocation ye have, and ye have humbled your souls; ye do no work;

⁸and ye have brought near a burnt-offering to Jehovah, a sweet fragrance, one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones they are for you,

⁹and their present, flour mixed with oil, three-tenth deals for the bullock, two-tenth deals for the one ram,

¹⁰a several tenth deal for the one lamb, for the seven lambs,

¹¹one kid of the goats, a sin-offering; apart from the sin-offering of the atonements, and the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and their libations.

¹²`And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month a holy convocation ye have; ye do no servile work; and ye have celebrated a festival to Jehovah seven days,

¹³and have brought near a burnt-offering, a fire-offering, a sweet fragrance, to Jehovah; thirteen bullocks, sons of the herd, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year; perfect ones they are;

¹⁴and their present, flour mixed with oil, three-tenth deals to the one bullock, for the thirteen bullocks, two-tenth deals to the one ram, for the two rams,

¹⁵and a several tenth deal to the one lamb, for the fourteen lambs,

¹⁶and one kid of the goats, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, its present, and its libation.

¹⁷`And on the second day twelve bullocks, sons of the herd, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

¹⁸and their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the sheep, in their number, according to the ordinance;

¹⁹and one kid of the goats, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and their libations.

²⁰`And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

²¹and their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

²²and one goat, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and its libation.

²³`And on the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

²⁴their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

²⁵and one kid of the goats, a sin-offering, apart from the continual burnt-offering, its present, and its libation.

²⁶`And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

²⁷and their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

²⁸and one goat, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and its libation.

²⁹`And on the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

³⁰and their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

³¹and one goat, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, its present, and its libation.

³²`And on the seventh day seven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

³³and their present, and their libations, for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

³⁴and one goat, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, its present, and its libation.

³⁵`On the eighth day a restraint ye have, ye do no servile work;

³⁶and ye have brought near a burnt-offering, a fire-offering, a sweet fragrance, to Jehovah; one bullock, one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones;

³⁷their present, and their libations, for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, in their number, according to the ordinance;

³⁸and one goat, a sin-offering; apart from the continual burnt-offering, and its present, and its libation.

³⁹`These ye prepare to Jehovah in your appointed seasons, apart from your vows, and your free-will offerings, for your burnt-offerings, and for your presents, and for your libations, and for your peace-offerings.'

⁴⁰And Moses saith unto the sons of Israel according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

30 And Moses speaketh unto the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, `This [is] the thing which Jehovah hath commanded:

²`When a man voweth a vow to Jehovah, or hath sworn an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he doth not pollute his word; according to all that is going out from his mouth he doth.

³`And when a woman voweth a vow to Jehovah, and hath bound a bond in the house of her father in her youth,

⁴and her father hath heard her vow, and her bond which she hath bound on her soul, and her father hath kept silent at her, then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

⁵`And if her father hath disallowed her in the day of his hearing, none of her vows and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul is established, and Jehovah is propitious to her, for her father hath disallowed her.

⁶`And if she be at all to a husband, and her vows [are] on her, or a wrongful utterance [on] her lips, which she hath bound on her soul,

⁷and her husband hath heard, and in the day of his hearing, he hath kept silent at her, then have her vows been established, and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul are established.

⁸`And if in the day of her husband's hearing he disalloweth her, then he hath broken her vow which [is] on her, and the wrongful utterance of her lips which she hath bound on her soul, and Jehovah is propitious to her.

⁹`As to the vow of a widow or cast-out woman, all that she hath bound on her soul is established on her.

¹⁰`And if [in] the house of her husband she hath vowed, or hath bound a bond on her soul with an oath,

¹¹and her husband hath heard, and hath kept silent at her -- he hath not disallowed her -- then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

¹²`And if her husband doth certainly break them in the day of his hearing, none of the outgoing of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, is established -- her husband hath broken them -- and Jehovah is propitious to her.

¹³`Every vow and every oath -- a bond to humble a soul -- her husband doth establish it, or her husband doth break it;

¹⁴and if her husband certainly keep silent at her, from day unto day, then he hath established all her vows, or all her bonds which [are] upon her; he hath established them, for he hath kept silent at her in the day of his hearing;

¹⁵and if he doth at all break them after his hearing, then he hath borne her iniquity.'

¹⁶These [are] the statutes which Jehovah hath commanded Moses between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth, [in] the house of her father.

Numbers 28-30

New International Version

Daily Offerings

28 The Lord said to Moses, ²“Give this command to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Make sure that you present to me at the appointed time^(A) my food^(B) offerings, as an aroma pleasing to me.’^(C) ³Say to them: ‘This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: two lambs a year old without defect,^(D) as a regular burnt offering each day.^(E) ⁴Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,^(F) ⁵together with a grain offering^(G) of a tenth of an ephah^[a] of the finest flour^(H) mixed with a quarter of a hin^[b] of oil^(I) from pressed olives. ⁶This is the regular burnt offering^(J) instituted at Mount Sinai^(K) as a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.^(L) ⁷The accompanying drink offering^(M) is to be a quarter of a hin of fermented drink^(N) with each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the Lord at the sanctuary.^(O) ⁸Offer the second lamb at twilight,^(P) along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering that you offer in the morning.^(Q) This is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^(R)

Sabbath Offerings

⁹“‘On the Sabbath^(S) day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect,^(T) together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah^[c]^(U) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil.^(V) ¹⁰This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath,^(W) in addition to the regular burnt offering^(X) and its drink offering.

Monthly Offerings

¹¹“‘On the first of every month,^(Y) present to the Lord a burnt offering of two young bulls,^(Z) one ram^(AA) and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^(AB) ¹²With each bull there is to be a grain offering^(AC) of three-tenths of an ephah^[d]^(AD) of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, a grain offering of two-tenths^(AE) of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; ¹³and with each lamb, a grain offering^(AF) of a tenth^(AG) of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil. This is for a burnt offering,^(AH) a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.^(AI) ¹⁴With each bull there is to be a drink offering^(AJ) of half a hin^[e] of wine; with the ram, a third of a hin^[f]; and with each lamb, a quarter of a hin. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon^(AK) during the year. ¹⁵Besides the regular burnt offering^(AL) with its drink offering, one male goat^(AM) is to be presented to the Lord as a sin offering.^[g]^(AN)

The Passover^(AO)

¹⁶“‘On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover^(AP) is to be held. ¹⁷On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days^(AQ) eat bread made without yeast.^(AR) ¹⁸On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^(AS) ¹⁹Present to the Lord a food offering^(AT) consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^(AU) ²⁰With each bull offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah^(AV) of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^(AW) ²¹and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^(AX) ²²Include one male goat as a sin offering^(AY) to make atonement for you.^(AZ) ²³Offer these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering. ²⁴In this way present the food offering every day for seven days as an aroma pleasing to the Lord;^(BA) it is to be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering. ²⁵On the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

The Festival of Weeks^(BB)

²⁶“‘On the day of firstfruits,^(BC) when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks,^(BD) hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^(BE) ²⁷Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^(BF) ²⁸With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^(BG) ²⁹and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^(BH) ³⁰Include one male goat^(BI) to make atonement for you. ³¹Offer these together with their drink offerings, in addition to the regular burnt offering^(BJ) and its grain offering. Be sure the animals are without defect.

The Festival of Trumpets^(BK)

29 “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^(BL) It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. ²As an aroma pleasing to the Lord,^(BM) offer a burnt offering^(BN) of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,^(BO) all without defect.^(BP) ³With the bull offer a grain offering^(BQ) of three-tenths of an ephah^[h] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths^[i]; ⁴and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^[j]^(BR) ⁵Include one male goat^(BS) as a sin offering^[k] to make atonement for you. ⁶These are in addition to the monthly^(BT) and daily burnt offerings^(BU) with their grain offerings^(BV) and drink offerings^(BW) as specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma.^(BX)

The Day of Atonement^(BY)

⁷“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves^[l]^(BZ) and do no work.^(CA) ⁸Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^(CB) ⁹With the bull offer a grain offering^(CC) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^(CD) ¹⁰and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^(CE) ¹¹Include one male goat^(CF) as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular burnt offering^(CG) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.^(CH)

The Festival of Tabernacles^(CI)

¹²“‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh^(CJ) month,^(CK) hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. ¹³Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord^(CL) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^(CM) ¹⁴With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering^(CN) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths; ¹⁵and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth.^(CO) ¹⁶Include one male goat as a sin offering,^(CP) in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.^(CQ)

²³“‘On the fourth day offer ten bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. ²⁴With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. ²⁵Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

²⁹“‘On the sixth day offer eight bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. ³⁰With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. ³¹Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

³²“‘On the seventh day offer seven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. ³³With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. ³⁴Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

³⁵“‘On the eighth day hold a closing special assembly^(DB) and do no regular work. ³⁶Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord^(DC) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of one bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,^(DD) all without defect. ³⁷With the bull, the ram and the lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. ³⁸Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

³⁹“‘In addition to what you vow^(DE) and your freewill offerings,^(DF) offer these to the Lord at your appointed festivals:^(DG) your burnt offerings,^(DH) grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings.^(DI)’”

⁴⁰Moses told the Israelites all that the Lord commanded him.^[m]

Vows

30 ^[n]Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel:^(DJ) “This is what the Lord commands: ²When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.^(DK)

³“When a young woman still living in her father’s household makes a vow to the Lord or obligates herself by a pledge ⁴and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all her vows and every pledge by which she obligated herself will stand.^(DL) ⁵But if her father forbids her^(DM) when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; the Lord will release her because her father has forbidden her.

⁶“If she marries after she makes a vow^(DN) or after her lips utter a rash promise by which she obligates herself ⁷and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. ⁸But if her husband^(DO) forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the Lord will release her.^(DP)

⁹“Any vow or obligation taken by a widow or divorced woman will be binding on her.

¹⁰“If a woman living with her husband makes a vow or obligates herself by a pledge under oath ¹¹and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her and does not forbid her, then all her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. ¹²But if her husband nullifies them when he hears about them, then none of the vows or pledges that came from her lips will stand.^(DQ) Her husband has nullified them, and the Lord will release her. ¹³Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow she makes or any sworn pledge to deny herself.^[o] ¹⁴But if her husband says nothing to her about it from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or the pledges binding on her. He confirms them by saying nothing to her when he hears about them. ¹⁵If, however, he nullifies them^(DR) some time after he hears about them, then he must bear the consequences of her wrongdoing.”

¹⁶These are the regulations the Lord gave Moses concerning relationships between a man and his wife, and between a father and his young daughter still living at home.
