⁹ But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because theirs was ^(A)the service of the holy things, ^(B)which they carried on their shoulders.

²¹ Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the ^(A)holy things. (The tabernacle would be ^[a]prepared for their arrival.)

The Law to Be Read Every Seven Years

⁹ So Moses wrote this law ^(A)and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi, ^(B)who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.

¹⁰ So the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and crossed over.

¹³ And so it was, when ^(A)those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed ^(B)oxen and fatted sheep.
