⁵² then you shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you and ^(A)destroy all their carved stones and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places;

⁵ But thus you shall do to them: ^(A)you shall tear down their altars and shatter their sacred pillars and cut their ^[a]Asherim in pieces and burn their graven images with fire.

² and as for you, ^(A)you shall cut no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; ^(B)you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not listened to My voice; what is this you have done?
