5 Circumcised? On the eighth day. Race? Israelite. Tribe? Benjamin. Descent? Hebrew through and through. Torah-observance? A Pharisee. 6 Zealous? I persecuted the church! Official status under the law? Blameless.
Gaining the Messiah
7 Does that sound as though my account was well in credit? Well, maybe; but whatever I had written in on the profit side, I calculated it instead as a loss—because of the Messiah.

New International Version
5 circumcised(A) on the eighth day, of the people of Israel,(B) of the tribe of Benjamin,(C) a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;(D) 6 as for zeal,(E) persecuting the church;(F) as for righteousness based on the law,(G) faultless.
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss(H) for the sake of Christ.
