⁵He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

New International Version

⁵He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.^(A)

⁴A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

⁴A wife of noble character^(A) is her husband’s crown,
but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.^(B)
