Proverbs 10:5-7

5 A son who works hard while it is harvest time will be successful, but one who sleeps through the harvest is worthless.

6 People say good things about those who live right, but the words of the wicked only hide their violent plans.

7 Good people leave memories that bless us, but the wicked are soon forgotten.

5 He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
    but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.(A)

6 Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
    but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.[a](B)

7 The name of the righteous(C) is used in blessings,[b]
    but the name of the wicked(D) will rot.(E)
