⁹lest you turn over your life to others
    and your years to one without mercy,
¹⁰lest strangers grow prosperous on your wealth^[a]
    and your arduous toil enrich another man’s house.
¹¹Then, at the end of your life, you will groan
    when your flesh and your body are consumed.
