Who Is like the Lord Our God?
2 (D)Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
3 (E)From the rising of the sun to its setting,
(F)the name of the Lord is (G)to be praised!
4 The Lord is (H)high above all nations,
and his (I)glory above the heavens!
5 (J)Who is like the Lord our God,
who is seated on high,
6 who (K)looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
7 He (L)raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 to make them (M)sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He (N)gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
(O)Praise the Lord!
Tremble at the Presence of the Lord
114 When (P)Israel went out from Egypt,
the house of Jacob from (Q)a people of strange language,
2 Judah became his (R)sanctuary,
Israel his dominion.
3 (S)The sea looked and fled;
(T)Jordan turned back.
4 (U)The mountains skipped like rams,
the hills like lambs.
5 What (V)ails you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?
6 O mountains, that you skip like rams?
O hills, like lambs?
7 (W)Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8 who turns (X)the rock into (Y)a pool of water,
(Z)the flint into a spring of water.
To Your Name Give Glory
115 (AA)Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
(AB)for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!
2 Why should the nations say,
(AC)“Where is their God?”
3 (AD)Our God is in the heavens;
(AE)he does all that he pleases.
4 (AF)Their idols are silver and gold,
(AG)the work of human hands.
5 They have mouths, (AH)but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6 They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7 They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8 (AI)Those who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them.
9 O (AJ)Israel,[a] (AK)trust in the Lord!
He is their (AL)help and their shield.
10 O (AM)house of Aaron, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and (AN)their shield.
11 You (AO)who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us;
he will bless (AP)the house of Israel;
he will bless (AQ)the house of Aaron;
13 he will (AR)bless those who fear the Lord,
(AS)both the small and the great.
14 May the Lord (AT)give you increase,
you and your children!
15 May (AU)you be blessed by the Lord,
(AV)who made heaven and earth!
16 The heavens are the Lord's heavens,
but the earth he has given to the children of man.
17 (AW)The dead do not praise the Lord,
nor do any who go down into (AX)silence.
18 But (AY)we will bless the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore.

I Love the Lord
116 I (BA)love the Lord, because he has (BB)heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.
2 Because he (BC)inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
3 (BD)The snares of death encompassed me;
the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
I suffered distress and anguish.
4 Then (BE)I called on the name of the Lord:
“O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”
5 (BF)Gracious is the Lord, and (BG)righteous;
our God is (BH)merciful.
6 The Lord preserves (BI)the simple;
when (BJ)I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return, O my soul, to your (BK)rest;
for the Lord has (BL)dealt bountifully with you.
8 For (BM)you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling;
9 I will walk before the Lord
(BN)in the land of the living.
10 (BO)I believed, (BP)even when[b] I spoke:
“I am greatly afflicted”;
11 (BQ)I said in my alarm,
(BR)“All mankind are liars.”
12 What shall I (BS)render to the Lord
for all his benefits to me?
13 I will lift up (BT)the cup of salvation
and (BU)call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will (BV)pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 (BW)Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his (BX)saints.
16 O Lord, I am your (BY)servant;
I am your servant, (BZ)the son of your maidservant.
You have (CA)loosed my bonds.
17 I will (CB)offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving
and (CC)call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will (CD)pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in (CE)the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
(CF)Praise the Lord!
The Lord's Faithfulness Endures Forever
117 (CG)Praise the Lord, all nations!
Extol him, all peoples!
2 For (CH)great is his steadfast love toward us,
and (CI)the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
(CJ)Praise the Lord!
His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
118 (CK)Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 (CL)Let Israel say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
3 (CM)Let the house of Aaron say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
4 (CN)Let those who fear the Lord say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
5 (CO)Out of my distress I (CP)called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me (CQ)free.
6 (CR)The Lord is on my side; (CS)I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
7 (CT)The Lord is on my side as my helper;
I shall (CU)look in triumph on those who hate me.
8 (CV)It is better to take refuge in the Lord
(CW)than to trust in man.
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
(CX)than to trust in princes.
10 (CY)All nations surrounded me;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
11 They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
12 (CZ)They surrounded me like bees;
they went out like (DA)a fire among thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
13 I was (DB)pushed hard,[c] so that I was falling,
but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song;
(DC)he has become my salvation.
15 Glad songs of salvation
are in the tents of the righteous:
(DD)“The right hand of the Lord (DE)does valiantly,
16 the right hand of the Lord exalts,
the right hand of the Lord (DF)does valiantly!”
17 (DG)I shall not die, but I shall live,
and (DH)recount the deeds of the Lord.
18 The Lord has (DI)disciplined me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
19 (DJ)Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
(DK)the righteous shall enter through it.
21 I thank you that (DL)you have answered me
(DM)and have become my salvation.
22 (DN)The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.[d]
23 This is the Lord's doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save us, we pray, O Lord!
O Lord, we pray, give us success!
26 (DO)Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
We (DP)bless you from the house of the Lord.
27 The Lord is God,
and he has made (DQ)his light to shine upon us.
Bind the festal sacrifice with cords,
up to (DR)the horns of the altar!
28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you;
you are my God; I will (DS)extol you.
29 (DT)Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!

Praise the Lord, you his servants;(B)
praise the name of the Lord.
2 Let the name of the Lord be praised,(C)
both now and forevermore.(D)
3 From the rising of the sun(E) to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 The Lord is exalted(F) over all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.(G)
5 Who is like the Lord our God,(H)
the One who sits enthroned(I) on high,(J)
6 who stoops down to look(K)
on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor(L) from the dust
and lifts the needy(M) from the ash heap;
8 he seats them(N) with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He settles the childless(O) woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 114
1 When Israel came out of Egypt,(P)
Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
2 Judah(Q) became God’s sanctuary,(R)
Israel his dominion.
3 The sea looked and fled,(S)
the Jordan turned back;(T)
4 the mountains leaped(U) like rams,
the hills like lambs.
5 Why was it, sea, that you fled?(V)
Why, Jordan, did you turn back?
6 Why, mountains, did you leap like rams,
you hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, earth,(W) at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8 who turned the rock into a pool,
the hard rock into springs of water.(X)
Psalm 115(Y)
1 Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,(Z)
because of your love and faithfulness.(AA)
2 Why do the nations say,
“Where is their God?”(AB)
3 Our God is in heaven;(AC)
he does whatever pleases him.(AD)
4 But their idols are silver and gold,(AE)
made by human hands.(AF)

eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,

he is their help and shield.

he is their help and shield.
11 You who fear him,(AJ) trust in the Lord—
he is their help and shield.
12 The Lord remembers(AK) us and will bless us:(AL)
He will bless his people Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,
13 he will bless those who fear(AM) the Lord—
small and great alike.
14 May the Lord cause you to flourish,(AN)
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven(AO) and earth.
16 The highest heavens belong to the Lord,(AP)
but the earth he has given(AQ) to mankind.
17 It is not the dead(AR) who praise the Lord,
those who go down to the place of silence;
18 it is we who extol the Lord,(AS)
both now and forevermore.(AT)
Psalm 116
1 I love the Lord,(AV) for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry(AW) for mercy.(AX)
2 Because he turned his ear(AY) to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death(AZ) entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name(BA) of the Lord:
“Lord, save me!(BB)”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous;(BC)
our God is full of compassion.(BD)
6 The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low,(BE) he saved me.(BF)
8 For you, Lord, have delivered me(BI) from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the Lord(BJ)
in the land of the living.(BK)
10 I trusted(BL) in the Lord when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted”;(BM)
11 in my alarm I said,
“Everyone is a liar.”(BN)
12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his goodness(BO) to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name(BP) of the Lord.
14 I will fulfill my vows(BQ) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight(BR) of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.(BS)
16 Truly I am your servant, Lord;(BT)
I serve you just as my mother did;(BU)
you have freed me from my chains.(BV)
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering(BW) to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will fulfill my vows(BX) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts(BY) of the house of the Lord—
in your midst, Jerusalem.(BZ)

Psalm 117
1 Praise the Lord,(CA) all you nations;(CB)
extol him, all you peoples.
2 For great is his love(CC) toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord(CD) endures forever.

“His love endures forever.”(CI)
3 Let the house of Aaron say:(CJ)
“His love endures forever.”

“His love endures forever.”
5 When hard pressed,(CL) I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.(CM)
6 The Lord is with me;(CN) I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?(CO)
7 The Lord is with me; he is my helper.(CP)
I look in triumph on my enemies.(CQ)
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord(CR)
than to trust in humans.(CS)
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.(CT)
10 All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.(CU)
11 They surrounded me(CV) on every side,(CW)
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,(CX)
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;(CY)
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.(CZ)
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.(DA)
14 The Lord is my strength(DB) and my defense[e];
he has become my salvation.(DC)
15 Shouts of joy(DD) and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand(DE) has done mighty things!(DF)
16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die(DG) but live,
and will proclaim(DH) what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened(DI) me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.(DJ)
19 Open for me the gates(DK) of the righteous;
I will enter(DL) and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord(DM)
through which the righteous may enter.(DN)
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;(DO)
you have become my salvation.(DP)
