⁸Smoke went up from his nostrils,^[a]
and devouring ^(A)fire from his mouth;
glowing coals flamed forth from him.

⁸Smoke rose from his nostrils;^(A)
consuming fire^(B) came from his mouth,
burning coals^(C) blazed out of it.

⁹He ^(A)bowed the heavens and ^(B)came down;
^(C)thick darkness was under his feet.

dark clouds^(B) were under his feet.
