⁸Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

⁸Ask me,
and I will make the nations^(A) your inheritance,^(B)
the ends of the earth^(C) your possession.

²⁸For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.

²⁸for dominion belongs to the Lord^(A)
and he rules over the nations.
