Psalm 69:9

⁹For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Psalm 69:9

New International Version

⁹for zeal for your house consumes me,^(A)
and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.^(B)

¹⁰When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

¹⁰When I weep and fast,^(A)
I must endure scorn;

¹⁹And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

¹⁹We know that we are children of God,^(A) and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.^(B)
