    mere mortals that you think of them?

⁵ You have made them^[b] a little lower than the angels^[c](B)
    and crowned them^[d] with glory and honor.^(C)
6 You made them rulers^(D) over the works of your hands;^(E)
    you put everything under their^[e] feet:^(F)
7 all flocks and herds,^(G)
    and the animals of the wild,^(H)
8 the birds in the sky,
    and the fish in the sea,^(I)
    all that swim the paths of the seas.

    a son of man that you care for him?^(B)

15 If God places no trust in his holy ones,^(C)
    if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes,^(D)
16 how much less mortals, who are vile and corrupt,^(E)
    who drink up evil^(F) like water!^(G)
