7 The Lord of hosts (A)is with us;
The God of Jacob is (B)our stronghold. Selah.

8 Come, (C)behold the works of the Lord,
[a]Who has wrought (D)desolations in the earth.
9 He (E)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He (F)breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He (G)burns the chariots with fire.

    the desolations(F) he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars(G) cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(H) and shatters the spear;
