2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,(A)
my stronghold; I will never be shaken.(B)

3 How long will you threaten a man?
Will all of you attack[a]
as if he were a leaning wall
or a tottering stone fence?(C)
4 They only plan to bring him down
from his high position.
They take pleasure in lying;
they bless with their mouths,
but they curse inwardly.(D)Selah

    Would all of you throw me down—
    this leaning wall,(E) this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
    from my lofty place;
    they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
