⁵^(A)Father of the fatherless and ^(B)protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation.

⁵A father to the fatherless,^(A) a defender of widows,^(B)
is God in his holy dwelling.^(C)

⁶God ^(A)settles the solitary in a home;
he ^(B)leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but ^(C)the rebellious dwell in ^(D)a parched land.

⁶God sets the lonely^(A) in families,^[a]^(B)
he leads out the prisoners^(C) with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.^(D)
