²⁰Like ^(A)a dream when one awakes,
O Lord, when ^(B)you rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms.

²⁰They are like a dream^(A) when one awakes;^(B)
when you arise, Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.^(C)

²⁰As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

²³Awake and ^(A)rouse yourself for ^(B)my vindication,
for my cause, my God and my Lord!

²³Awake,^(A) and rise^(B) to my defense!
Contend^(C) for me, my God and Lord.

²³Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
