Psalm 78:63-65

New International Version

⁶³ Fire consumed^(A) their young men,
    and their young women had no wedding songs;^(B)
64 their priests were put to the sword,^(C)
    and their widows could not weep.

⁶⁵ Then the Lord awoke as from sleep,^(D)
    as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine.
