⁹ The Lord is a refuge^(A) for the oppressed,^(B)
    a stronghold in times of trouble.^(C)

¹⁰ Those who know your name^(A) trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken^(B) those who seek you.^(C)

¹¹ Sing the praises^(D) of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;^(E)
    proclaim among the nations^(F) what he has done.^(G)
12 For he who avenges blood^(H) remembers;
    he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.^(I)

¹³ Lord, see how my enemies^(J) persecute me!
    Have mercy^(K) and lift me up from the gates of death,^(L)
14 that I may declare your praises^(M)
    in the gates of Daughter Zion,^(N)
    and there rejoice in your salvation.^(O)

¹⁸ But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope^(A) of the afflicted^(B) will never perish.
