Psalm 110

Of David. A psalm.

²³ But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;^(A) then, when he comes,^(B) those who belong to him.^{(C) 24} Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom^(D) to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.^{(E) 25} For he must reign^(F) until he has put all his enemies under his feet.^{(G) 26} The last enemy to be destroyed is death.^{(H) 27} For he “has put everything under his feet.”^[a](I) Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.^(J)

¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,^(A) he sat down at the right hand of God,^{(B) 13} and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.^(C)
