⁶ You have put me in ^(A)the pit far below,
In ^(B)dark places, in the ^(C)depths.

² Though they dig into ^(A)Sheol,
From there will My hand take them;
And though they ^(B)ascend to heaven,
From there will I bring them down.

“I ^(A)called out of my distress to Yahweh,
And He answered me.
I cried for help from the belly of ^(B)Sheol;
You heard my voice.

⁶ I ^(A)went down to the ^[a]base of the mountains.
The earth with its ^(B)bars closed behind me forever,
But You have ^(C)brought up my life from ^[b]the pit, O Yahweh my God.
