³²By the waters of Meribah^(A) they angered the Lord,
and trouble came to Moses because of them;

³²They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:

³³for they rebelled^(A) against the Spirit^(B) of God,
and rash words came from Moses’ lips.^[a]^(C)
