¹⁰May his children be wandering beggars;^(A)
may they be driven^[a] from their ruined homes.

King James Version

¹⁰Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

⁴Sluggards^(A) do not plow in season;
so at harvest time they look but find nothing.^(B)

⁴The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

³“The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg—

³Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
