21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

21 The twelve gates(A) were twelve pearls,(B) each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.(C)

22 I did not see a temple(D) in the city, because the Lord God Almighty(E) and the Lamb(F) are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God(G) gives it light,(H) and the Lamb(I) is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.(J) 25 On no day will its gates(K) ever be shut,(L) for there will be no night there.(M)
