²³You who boast in the law,^(A) do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

²³Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

²⁴As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”^[a]^(A)

²⁴For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

⁷Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?

⁷Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
