⁶For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:6

New International Version

⁶The mind governed by the flesh is death,^(A) but the mind governed by the Spirit is life^(B) and peace.

⁷Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

⁷The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;^(A) it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
