Romans 14:9-11
New Matthew Bible

9 It is for this that Christ died and rose up and recovered life: to be Lord of both the dead and the living.

10 But why do you then judge your brother? Or, why do you despise your brother? We shall all be brought before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written: As surely as I live, says the Lord, all knees will bow to me, and all tongues will acknowledge God.

9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life(A) so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.(B)

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?(C) For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.(D) 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’(E) says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
    every tongue will acknowledge God.’”[b](F)
