Romans 7:3-5

3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man.
4 So, my brothers, you also were (A)made to die (B)to the Law (C)through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For while we were (D)in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were (E)aroused by the Law, were at work (F)in our members to bear fruit for death.

New International Version
3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress.(A) But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law(B) through the body of Christ,(C) that you might belong to another,(D) to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a](E) the sinful passions aroused by the law(F) were at work in us,(G) so that we bore fruit for death.(H)
