⁵And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham;

⁵those who bow down on the roofs
to worship the starry host,^(A)
those who bow down and swear by the Lord
and who also swear by Molek,^[a]^(B)

⁶And them that are turned back from the Lord; and those that have not sought the Lord, nor enquired for him.

⁶those who turn back from following^(A) the Lord
and neither seek^(B) the Lord nor inquire^(C) of him.”
